Toolbox Meeting Friday 26th April at 5-30pm

Melissa plans to speak about sexual dysfunction in men and relationships and, in particular, after cancer treatment. This will include penile rehabilitation and erectile dysfunction treatments. Along the way she hopes to bust a few myths and open communication between couples and individuals about difficult subjects. Melissa will also cover how partners can help.” If you are uncomfortable with frank discussion on some of society’s chronic issues, you may need to consider not attending. If, on the other hand, you feel this type of discussion could help you feel more comfortable, please be assured, comedy aside, we are serious about working together on all levels.

We will begin to gather for greetings, bevies and nibbles at 5:30pm. Melissa hopes to be with us at the clubrooms by 6:00pm but will be forgiven if traffic on the day delays her. Melissa will present for approximately 30- 45 minutes, after which we will take a short break to refresh ourselves.

While a hands-on presentation for the gents (brake pipe flaring- by Tony Polglase), is set up in front of the clubroom. To this end, please be aware that we will be blocking off some parking bays and will appreciate assistance carrying some tables and chairs outside. Our ladies will, after refreshing, stay in the clubhouse with Melissa, for some femme discussion. Gents, after Tony’s presentation, Melissa will be available, for a short time, if you would like to show your appreciation or seek more information.

PS. June’s toolbox meeting will be presented by Classic Car Curators. Open to suggestions for May.

This time we thought we would start the day off at the Boyanup Farmers Market Day this market starts at 8am until 12 noon.

So the market start time is up to you, they do have food stalls and coffee stands. Once people have finished shopping all the local product stalls and tried a few free samples you can head to the table and chairs for a coffee and chat, before driving down the road to the Boyanup Tavern for lunch at 11.30am, or if people don't want to go to the markets they can go straight to the Traven for an early morning beverage and wait for the rest of the club to arrive. There is parking across the road form the Tavern and behind the Tavern and some parking in front of the  Tavern as the black car below shows.

Address104 Bridge St, Boyanup WA 623

Hope to see you along for this event.

King Road Brewery Lunch, 796 Kings Road, Oldbury 6121
    Saturday 4th May 2024 at 12-30pm

The KRB story started in 2008, when Bev and Dave McKee experimented with cider recipes using a cheap home-style setup on the family farm. We have fond memories recalling early batches of the brew, most of which were barely drinkable – of course, we drank them, anyway!

Over time, our experience grew, our recipes evolved, and our cider got better. People began to visit our farm on warm, sunny afternoons to say hello and share our family’s delightful brew. It was during one of those afternoons that the idea for KRB was born.

Since then, we have grown to a dedicated venue with a stand-alone brewery where we handcraft our cider and beer creations. We also have a fully equipped bar and restaurant with a revolving summer/winter menu featuring classic pub meals and weekend specials.

We open our doors and invite you and your family {including children} and guests to enjoy a drink and a meal with us. From our family to yours.

Members should make their own way to arrive at the brewery for a 12-30pm start. We have four tables booked undercover to  accommodate about 40 people. If more turn up that's not a problem but they may have to sit away from the main group. Everyone orders their own food and drinks.
There is a private grassed area to display our Jaguars accessible by not turning right into the main public car park but instead continuing on the the main driveway and the turning right into the fenced grassy area.

ALL BRITISH CAR DAY – GINGIN 2024

    Sunday 19th May 2024

This is a tune I am sure members have heard before, however I am going to repeat the call and hope for an eager response.

Our premier display event, the All British Car Day in Gingin, Is fast approaching and the call is going out for volunteers to assist by acting as marshals on the Sunday morning.

Marshals will be required for approximately one and half hours on Sunday morning, to help direct attending vehicles into their respective display areas. It is not an onerous task, and the bonus is that you will encounter many old and hopefully new acquaintances.

Volunteers should be at Gingin on Sunday morning around 8.15am. If you have a high visibility vest please bring it with you.

Also required is a volunteer to do a “Display Vehicle Count” which will require walking the display area and counting the vehicles in their respective Club groups. This task needs to be undertaken around midday.

All volunteers will be treated to a free muffin and a coffee as a gesture of appreciation.

If you are able to assist or require further clarification, please contact Luke Zambotti on 0409 100626.
