Help us make this a very special display of Jaguars to celebrate our anniversary!

Venue: Sir James Mitchell Park South Perth (Zone 8), off Coode Street

Enjoy the company of other club members together with our magnificent Jaguar cars at the 60^th Club Anniversary Car Display Day on the foreshore of the beautiful Swan River. Bring your Jaguar or Daimler and enjoy a picnic at Sir James Mitchell Park and help make this a very special display of our beautiful cars. The Club needs your support!

The Boat Shed café and public toilets are nearby to our display area. Council approval has been obtained for the consumption of BYO alcohol within our Zone 8 area between the hours of 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.

This event is open to all members to display their Jaguars or Daimlers at no cost and no matter what condition, there will be a number of spot novelty prizes for cars on General Display including the tattiest so bring your Jaguar or Daimler no matter what condition.

In addition to the general display of Jaguars there will be a special judging and awards event appropriate for this significant Club Anniversary.

Cars entered for Judging will be organised into the six Register Groupings and be judged in accordance with a straightforward judging criterion. This judging criterion will be made available to members at the Club General Meetings in February and March and on the club web site. There is no need to enter those cars on General Display.

Two awards will be presented for each Register Grouping.

60^th Anniversary Award- First Place and

60th Anniversary Award- Second Place.

In addition, there will be an overall ‘Best Presented’ Award

To be eligible for judging cars must be entered by Friday 3^rd April, entry forms will be available at the club general meetings in February and March and on the club web site. Click on Form to download the Register Judging Form if you prefer.

The six car register groupings and models applicable to each grouping as detailed under ‘Register Secretaries’ in the Club Magazine.

The JCCWA display area, Zone 8, can be entered from Coode Street near the Boat Shed café, look for the JCCWA flags. Cars for general display need to be in place by 10.00am please. Cars entered in the special judging event must be in place by 9.30 am.

The unmistakable sound and presence of Jaguar will once again echo through the streets of Northam as the VSCC celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Jaguar Car Club movement at this year’s iconic Round the Houses weekend.

Several Jaguar Car Club members will be taking to the circuit in period Jaguars, including Philip Shephard, Laurie Lapsley, Patrick Dick, and others, continuing a proud tradition that stretches back more than seven decades. Jaguars have been racing at Northam since 1953, and this year’s event is a fitting tribute to that enduring competition history.

In a special highlight of the weekend, the Jaguar Car Club is sponsoring one of the day’s feature events. Following practice, at approximately 9:30 am, all Jaguars in the Display Area will be invited onto the circuit for a ceremonial parade of laps, giving spectators a rare opportunity to see these legendary cars sweeping through the historic streets where they belong.

Last year delivered an outstanding Jaguar display, and we’re keen to raise the bar again in 2026 with an even stronger turnout of cars, owners, and supporters. Whether you’re competing, displaying, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, this is an event no Jaguar enthusiast should miss.

Entries for the popular Monday Hillclimb at Mount Ommaney will be opening soon so keep an eye out and be ready to secure your place.

The Gingin British Car Day is a Fantastic Free Family Centric Event with an impressive display of Veteran, Vintage and current British Cars.
A working display of Model Ships, Music, Entertainment and activities for the kids and a variety of craft produce and food stalls all in the grounds of the beautiful Granville Park.
A revamped display area will mean more cars and more entertainment including the ever-popular working display of model ships on the scenic pool. There will be craft, produce and food stalls for every taste.

ALL BRITISH CAR DAY – GINGIN 2026

This is a tune I am sure members have heard before, however I am going to repeat the call and hope for an eager response.

Our premier display event, the All-British Car Day in Gingin, is fast approaching and the call is going out for volunteers to assist by acting as marshals on the Sunday morning.

Marshals will be required for approximately one and half hours on Sunday morning, to help direct attending vehicles into their respective display areas. It is not an onerous task, and the bonus is that you will encounter many old and hopefully new acquaintances.

Volunteers should be at Gingin on Sunday morning around 8.15am. If you have a high visibility vest please bring it with you.

Also required is a volunteer to do a “Display Vehicle Count” which will require walking the display area and counting the vehicles in their respective Club groups. This task needs to be undertaken around midday.

All volunteers will be treated to a free muffin and a coffee as a gesture of appreciation.

Australia’s premier “round-the-houses” racing weekend is back and Albany will once again transform into a street-circuit festival of engines, atmosphere, and classic motoring fun.

Darwin – Alice Springs 2026 - The 75th Anniversary Run (02-08-2026)

We are planning a commemorative re-enactment of the 75th Anniversary of Les Taylor and Dick Rendle’s historic Darwin–Alice Springs run.

Those interested in participating are invited to register their interest by emailing owner@xkejaguar.com.

My parents, David and Edna Laird, proudly took part in the 2001 run, with David serving on the organising committee. Now aged 93, they are no longer able to undertake the journey. In their place, I—Bruce Laird—will be making the run this year alongside my son Thomas, continuing the family connection to this remarkable event.

We will depart Darwin on 2 August, driving a 1951 Jaguar, which for many represents a rare opportunity to commemorate this iconic journey. Preparations include experienced mechanical support (formerly with Bib Stillwell), Whitworth tooling, spare tyres, a dedicated support camper vehicle, and a drone operator to document the run.

We welcome all enthusiasts who wish to join us in marking this significant chapter of Australian motoring history.

JCCWA-Combined Awards Night & 60th Anniversary Celebration (26-09-2026)

The premier event of our 60th Anniversary celebrations will be the Presentation Dinner to be held at the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough on the 26th of September 2026. Come and join in for a fabulous night in beautiful surroundings and support your club at this prestigious event.

Order of Events:

This special function will be held in the beautiful Mentelle Room which overlooks the Indian ocean and will commence at 6.30pm with complementary pre dinner drinks and canapes on the Mentelle deck, weather permitting, or in the spacious area inside from the deck. After moving into the Mentelle room the evenings activities will commence including the serving of a three-course plated set menu.

The Master of Ceremony for this very special evening will be Stephen Kent and will include surprise entertainment as well as our Annual Awards presentations including the awards from the 60th anniversary car display day to be held in April. Later in the evening music will commence, this being especially selected by Ray Norton from the music we know our Jaguar members love to dance to. Surprise 'spot' prizes will be announced throughout the evening...so be warned!

Ticket Purchase:

The JCCWA will be subsidising this one-off anniversary dinner for club members, partners & friends with a price cap of $90 per head which is a significant benefit to all who attend. This also includes a door prize for one night’s accommodation, with paid overnight parking and cooked breakfast for two. To encourage early bird registration, this prize will be allocated from a ticket number draw to be held at our June general meeting.

The capacity of the dining room is limited to 130 people and tickets are already selling fast, so if you have not done so get your tickets early. They will be on sale at all general meetings with payment available by card or via PayPal through the club's website under the ‘Events’ section.

All tickets purchased before 1-June-2026 will go into a draw for an overnight stay at the Rendezvous Hotel for two people including breakfast.

Dress Code:

The theme for this year is Bling, Zing & Dazzle, which is befitting for a diamond celebration. So for Ladies and Gents, whatever floats your boat in this area...goes! Don't hold back!

Parking:

Hotel basement parking is available for dinner guests. Cost is $25 for overnight or $10 for evening only. Free parking is also available to the west of the hotel between the hotel and the beach.

Accommodation & Breakfast:

Excellent accommodation is also available at the hotel so why not stay the night and make a weekend of the event, particularly members from our South West and Great Southern registers. This gives us the opportunity to kick the event off with a get together in the bar area on Saturday afternoon for a chat and drinks at around 3.00pm.
