JCCWA - Overnight Run To Cervantes & Jurien Bay

Sunday 16 August To Monday 17 August

9-00am: Meet in the Car park of Whitfords Beach at the Yahava Koffee Van on the roundabout of Whitfords Ave and Northshore Drive . If you are coming from the south head up North on the Mitchell Freeway and take the Whitfords Ave off ramp and then head West straight to the beach and when you run out of road on Whitfords Ave you will see the red Koffee Van straight ahead in the car park with shiny Jaguars parked nearby.

9-30am: We will leave for Cervantes and drive along the Indian Ocean Drive all the way.

11-00am: Arrive in Cervantes and go to the Lake Thetis Stromatolites for about 1 hour to look and photograph if you wish. (Nambung National Park) Entry is free. We will leave here about 11-45 am and head to the Lobster Shack (9652 7010) for those that want to do a factory tour ($10-00 ea for Seniors) at 12-00pm. This tour lasts 30 minutes and then we proceed to our tables for lunch

12-30pm: Arrive at the Lobster Shack and Lunch, where we will also be provided with separate display parking for all our cars. Your personal food choice as per Menu at the Lobster Shack, where you will need to settle your own food and drinks bill.  www.lobstershack.com.au

2-00pm: Leave for Jurien Bay heading North again on Indian Ocean Drive for the 2-30pm booked Jurien Bay Motorcycle Collection with Ian Boyd (owner) and his private collection. There is a fee of $10-00 each to view the collection. This is the largest collection of Vincent Motorcycles in the world and Ian is a current member of the JCCWA. You can google this or look up on YouTube beforehand.

(Those members and or partners who may wish to miss/skip this visit AND wish to stay over at the Jurien Bay Motel can go direct to the Motel at 7 Murray Street and book in from 2-00pm onwards) Here there are only the following Rooms available and you will need to book and pay for your own. First come first serve and if you snooze you loose?! If you do this on the website a 10% discount is on the following rates; 5 x Studio Rooms @ $175 per room per night, 1 x 2 Bedroom should you wish to share with a cnother couple @ $270 per room per night, 2 x 1 Bedroom @ $190 per room per night.

3-30pm: Those NOT wanting to stay over will make their way home. Others wanting to stay over leave for the Jurien Bay Motel & Apartments https://www.jurienbayapartments.com.au/ where we only have available as listed above. These units will go fast and first in gets first choice on Unit type and or upstairs with sea view etc. Please register for the Event before booking your room

6-00 for 6-30pm: There is a nice BBQ and Courtyard area where we intend to have nibbles and sun downers of our own together, after a shower or rest up. So make sure to bring your own esky and snacks for this casual function of choice later. We could also just go to a Pub or Pizza place for dinner, so this evening is still to be decided by all those wanting to stay overnight? Will put to the vote?

Monday 17 August.

This is a free day to do your own thing with the Pinnacles Nature Reserve an option to visit. We may pop into Seabird Tavern for lunch on the way home for those that are interested? I certainly hope that many of you can make this trip.
