Event Summary   

Join us for a relaxed two-night midweek tour to Kalgoorlie, featuring historic museums, iconic mining attractions, country hospitality, and flexible sightseeing. Travel at your own pace with organised highlights and optional activities.

Overview

Members are invited to participate in a two-night trip to Kalgoorlie, departing Perth on Sunday morning and returning on Tuesday. The itinerary includes scenic driving, heritage museums, local landmarks, and organised dinners, while still allowing members the flexibility to explore independently if they wish.

Alternative accommodation and optional participation in activities are welcome.

Proposed Itinerary

Sunday 14 June – Perth to Kalgoorlie

Monday 15 June – Kalgoorlie Touring

Planned highlights include:

  1. Museum of the Goldfields – Free entry (gold coin donation appreciated)

  • Lunch: Not organised – members free to choose
  • Dinner: Booked at the Railway Motel

Tuesday 16 June – Return to Perth

  • Depart Kalgoorlie: Approx. 9:00am
  • Optional stop: Nungarin Heritage Machinery & Army Museum

Accommodation

Members are free to book:

  • The Railway Motel (recommended and holding rooms), or
  • Alternative accommodation of their own choice.

Important Notes

  • This is a flexible tour – members may opt in or out of activities.
  • Google Maps routes for the outbound and return journeys will be provided to all registered participants prior to departure.
  • Costs for meals, entry fees, and accommodation are payable directly by members.
