JCCWA- 60th Anniversary Albany Classic Around the Houses
Albany Classic Motor Event – 28 May to 4 June 2026
Australia’s premier “round-the-houses” racing weekend is back and Albany will once again transform into a street-circuit festival of engines, atmosphere, and classic motoring fun.
Book early! Accommodation fills quickly for this weekend, and it would be a shame to miss out because you left it too late.
For those who’d like to do a Pre-Tour trip and arrive in Albany with a bit of flair, Ray Norton will lead the pre-tour group leaving on the Thursday 28th May and stay overnight at:
Itinerary
Thursday 28th May – Optional Pre-Tour Drive
10:00am – Depart Perth for Margaret River with a tea/coffee stop at the Crooked Carrot (154km)
ETA about 2-30pm at Grande Escape Resort, Margaret River (278km) – Tel: 9757 2633
Standard King Rooms: $228 per night (includes breakfast)

Friday 29th May: Depart about 9 am via the scenic drive through Boranup Forest to Brockman Highway, then Stewart Road to RAC Karri Valley Resort Café for tea/coffee stop. (127km). From here we will travel on highway 10 Pemberton Northcliffe Road to Northcliffe (141km) where we can stop again for refreshments. Continue on highway 10 Middleton Road through the Jane National Park joining up with the South Western Highway and onto Walpole, Denmark and then Albany (120km) ETA Albany Motel & Apartments approx. 3:00pm
Friday 29th May For all other Members who choose to go direct, to make your own way to Albany (or arrive via the pre-tour drive).

Saturday 30th May – Hill Climb + Free Time
Mt Clarence Hill Climb
Starts 9:00am – Free event
Watch the competitors “speed” up the course from excellent viewing areas.
Afternoon: Currently free time (whale tours & local activities available).
Updates will be provided if other group activities are arranged.

Sunday 31st May – Main Event DAY
Albany CBD Racing & Festival Starts 9:30am.
For those wishing to display your cars the Event will allow the JCCWA to display up to 10 cars, but you will need to have them inside the track early on Sunday morning 6-30 for 7-00am
The town is set up overnight for racing — enjoy the action from multiple vantage points around the course. Any car displays or additional events will be advised as confirmed.

Monday 1st June –
For those staying we have a lunch booked at West Cape Howe Winery just out of Mount Barker for 12pm via Spencer Road (67km) After lunch we will return to Albany in a flexible manner allowing those to go whichever way they choose, or begin their journey home.
Many will probably return direct to Perth on Monday, giving the lunch a miss
Post Tour Drive
Those staying on may join the Post-Tour Drive to Bridgetown (248km) departing Tuesday 2 June.
9:30am – Depart Albany via Frankland (122km), then on to Manjimup (92km), before pushing on to Bridgetown. ETA about 2pm

Wednesday 3rd June – For those wishing to stay in Bridgetown Free Day

Dinner: Bridgetown Hotel is booked for 7pm
Members returning to Perth today — safe travels.

Albany is always busy for this weekend. There are plenty of options in and around Albany, but they won’t last long.
